Digital Media

Internet Archive
This is a non-profit digital library with the stated mission of "universal access to all knowledge". It offers access to digitized materials, including websites, music, moving images, and nearly 3 million public domain books. If someone wants to look at a copy of Euclid's Elements from centuries ago, all they have to do is search the database.

NYPL Digital Gallery
This free and open website provides access to over 800,000 images digitized from the The New York Public Library's vast collections, including illuminated manuscripts, historical maps, vintage posters, rare prints, photographs and more.

The Smithsonian Channel

This joint venture of the Smithsonian Institution and Showtime explores the history of our planet, life and culture. This website brings SCHOOL APPROPRIATE content from the world's leading cultural institution into a media-rich environment.

Digital Lesson Plans, Interactives, & Exercises

Curriki is a play on the words 'curriculum' and 'wiki'. This is the first and only Internet site for Open Source Curriculum (OSC), which provides access to free K- 12 curricula materials.
